(24 Sept. 2010) - Büsingen is improving its involvement in renewable energies. With a new “bioenergy village” Büsingen is confident that most part of its territory could be served by renewable source of energy, instead of traditional ones.

The project aims to be completed in 2012, when the entire city is by then to be heated through a network heating system with a path length of about ten kilometers. The investment amount is around € 6 million. Several such projects are in the Lake Constance region already in operation.
